Inexpensive guitar brands with pretty much original designs

Which (relatively) cheap manufacturers are there that make anything other than just Strat/Les Paul/etc copies? Brands like Eastwood (een though those are just reissues of discontinued guitars).

Go on Rondo. They have a jazzmaster styled guitar that looks quite original.

I was gonna get something from Rondo (silvery purpley superstrat type thing with a Floyd), but the costs all mount up. It was like... £80 for the actual guitar, then you have to buy a hardcase too if yr outside the USA, then import fees... Etc. I'm still thinking about it, but it was getting kinda ridiculous.

If I'm not mistaken there's websites that sell the same guitars that rondo sells in the UK.

If not, and you do decide to buy from rondo they're still pretty good guitars. I would have gladly paid about $200-$300 more for my jazzy copy.

i got an sx 62 or something an /agile ric...an sx cus from there and one of the v shaped guitars in the last year or so -cause ilove new hampshire and live in jersey and those prices are nice...you're getting a good deal if

you decide to come up with the money....it goes far...more than i got..that's like always ...tho' that money for those guitars goes really far...the danelectros i had 63 reissue ...it was great...

rogue is the house brand its named for the rogue valley where they are at(it says in there)

...they farm them out..they get them made ...get runs that didn't fit and all that(on the phone)

first act has these double cutaways that are super cool poly-they sell for between 120 & 180 dollars and come in red w a wh pickgaurd blue and white and black and white ....they look like they've been dripped out of the

open spigget of rock and roll candy and promises ME 400 and something is the letters/two humbuckersand doublecutaway like the forks seem to be the same size but probably aren't-

Good question. I've had three Samick guitars and they have all been inexpensive great players with good looks. Samick is the largest guitar builder in the world and thier guitars have been popular in Europe & Asia since the 1960s. Samick has done manufacturing for Gibson, Epiphone, and other "name brands" for many years.

Since 1990, Samicks have been increasingly marketed in the USA. J.T. Riboloff is a new designer for Samick. He was a designer for Floyd Rose, and also for Gibson where he did the Casino John Lennon reissue as well as a number of models for their Custom Shop. Google Riboloff for some very informative articles.

I have a Samick JAD 25/MR which is a Jazzmaster knockoff with P90s which I love.

The Greg Bennett designed Samicks are very good (if you skip the entry-level Malibu series). I have a Greg Bennett FB2 which is a Wolfgang knockoff with Seymour Duncan humbuckers and Floyd Rose locking nut & trem system. This one's a great player and beautifully finished.

The Greg Bennett Avions, models 1, 2, and 3 are also great guitars.

You can buy good Samick models new in the $200 to $500 USD range. I bought all mine used and paid between $85 and $150. They have really good necks, good hardware, and sound electronics. I've never had a bad Samick.

On ebay, search both "Samick" and "Greg Bennett".

I had a look at their site, some of their stuff seems pretty cool. I saw a couple Jazzy copies too, look pretty nice. I like how they did some original finishes on them instead of just sunburst etc.

I checked out the Rogue website and I'd love to try those set-neck Ash HHs...!
