How do i distinguish my jazzmaster vintage from a classic ?

Hello,

I recently bought a fender jazzmaster vintage '62 sunburst (first hand). I have a (rather silly) question though :

How do i make sure that my guitar is from the 'vintage 62' series and not for instance a 'classic'. The neck only has the "jazzmaster" logo , but i can't find an indication of the '62 series on the guitar and i don't own a classic to check for differences. Do you have to check the serial number or is there another way to tell ?

For all i know the guy from the store could have switched it with a cheaper classic sunburst and i wouldn't notice it 😀

The classic players line have:

TOM bridge

MIM markings

Earth

AVRI (US made) will have a serial number on the neck plate. As will vintage units.

Mexican will have it on the headstock.

Japanese will have it on the neck heel.

Post a full frontal pic and I'll tell you what it is.
