Putting together a jag-stang build

I'm in the process of making a shopping list for a jag-stang build, and thought I'd run it through with you guys, just to be sure, so that i don't end up with mismatching parts.

The concept is as follows, a warmoth alder jag-stang body routed for a strat hardtail string through bridge, and an original fender (reissue most likely) mustang neck.

I plan on having two pickguards and control plates configured with electronics for fast swapping when i see the need, one set with three single coils and control plate configured with three mini two way switches and a stacked volume/tone pot, the other setup for two humbucker sized pickups and a control plate with a three way switch and two pots (drilled plate to accommodate an extra pot).

However there are some things I'm uncertain fits or will work:

1: Does the mustang neck fit with the warmoth jag-stang neck socket and align with the pre-drilled holes, or are theirs made to fit only with the necks they offer?

2: What kind of strat hard tail bridge do i choose to get the correct string spacing regarding nut width and pickup pole spacing? There is the wide vintage spec, American standard mid size and the narrow strat flat mount for humbucker spacing to choose from.

3: Is it necessary to have the pickups tilted at an angle, would the pickup pole spacing be off if not? I would prefer to have the pickups sit straight in their mounts.

Please help me sort this out, so that i can get this project rolling! 😀

Well good luck with the project, and a mustang neck should work, they use fender spec's for there neck pockets with what I understand. With the Bridge I'm not sure what one you would need. With the pickups, warmoths jag-stangs have the universal route so you can get the pickguard made with the pickups going straight instead of angle, even on there pickguard part of the web site it lets you choose if you want them angled or straight. Post some pic's when your done.
