No problem, also my real name is Kris, so you can just call me that, I think its a little less akward 😆 Anyway, I think its the same with reissues and vintage guitars, by the way, the Blueshawk looks great, not sure how it sounds, maybe post a demo or something? Anyway, glad to have helped! 😁
Hi, Kris and all,
I'm not up to speed with higher-tech procedures, so posting a demo is beyond my skill right now. But I can tell you the BluesHawks are famous for what their Varitone control produces. This little control has six positions which, in combination with the three-way pickups selector, produces a range of 18 distinctly different tones.
The tones are set to duplicate several Tele tones, several Strat tones, several Les Paul tones, and a few more subtle variations.
Heel-less, set-neck; chambered, ergonomic, string-through body; low profile bridge; two AlNiCo (grade 5) P90s; a hum-cancelling dummy coil...people who know these guitars often wonder why Gibson stopped 😕 production.
There are demos on Youtube.
