worn out is not really the word, the only thing that ever wore out was the Tremolo Plate and the tuning machines, and the original switches, as I used the pivots to death, but new Fender Dynamic Vibratos are relatively inexpensive ($60.00), and the new Japanese reissue ones have more range and are almost identical to the unit on my 1966 Fender Mustang. replaced the tuners with Kluson Tone Pros and the Switches with black switchcrafts to match my EMG pickups.
Other than that, I have a lot of fretwear, but somehow notes and action are not affected by this, a cut-up guitar pick in the neck slot to shim the side as it had started shifting 2 years ago and has stopped totally due to the shim job. It's still my baby and my #1, and the low maintenance costs, string life longevity, and the seemingly un-phasing fretwear have a LOT to do with that. I've never seen a guitar that tough in my life.
