how to wire a JB in bridge?

ok so i wanted to put a JB humbucker in the bridge of my mustang for a while, i finally got around to it and i dunno how to wire this sucker.

the way it works right now is the if the bridge switch is pushed towards the bridge i get no sound, if its pushed towards the neck then i get sound. neck pick up is fine, no problems there.

i dont know what im doing wrong, is it supposed to be like this for a humbucker?

I had this same problem with a hotrail kinda pick-up (Dragonfire) in my mustang bridge..

Still don't know how to wire it correctly.

BUT with a regular JB humbucker I wired it like this (and still works fine):

- red and white soldered together and taped of

- green were white was

- black were black was

- bare wire to the cup where the bridge goes in

thanks, that actually makes sense because right now i have the green where the bare is, so i guess im just grounding the green wire for no good reason.
