My father gave me his `1963 Fender Jaguar. It's completely stripped down with nothing on it but a custom paint job. My plan is to completely re finish the guitar, and buy new hardware for it as I don't have any of it with the guitar at all. The previous owner decided to fill in the switch, and bridge cavities with wood and screw on a Telecaster bridge. Since I want to restore it to how it was from factory, I need to pull the wood that covered up the holes out and make sure everything is good and ready to be restored. What I need help with, the fingerboard needs to be replaced as it is from 1963 and is very worn down, also, the fool who owned the guitar before us, SUPLERGLUED it to the neck. So I have no idea how to get it off without ruining the neck. And since there is no hardware, I don't know where to get the switch plates, switches, knob pots. Pretty much all of the electronics I need to buy new. A full wired assembly would be amazing if I could find one new. Who ever could help me out with this amazing guitar would be greatly appreciated!
