Differences in '90's MIM Strats

Okay does anybody know the difference between the squier series stratocaster MIM vs. the standard stratocaster MIM?

I have an MIK Squier Series and I find it to be on par with standard mim strats, so I'd say there's prolly not a huge difference. As I recall the Squier Series is just slightly more budgetminded.

I don't know for sure, but I would assume it would be along the lines of better woods, better components, and greater quality control.

Basically the difference between any Fender and Squier.

I played an odd MIM Squier strat once. It was black body, purple pearloid pickguard, and HH pickup config. I didnt get to play it through an amp, but the feel of the thing was very nice.
