I've played the Jazzmaster, I quite like it and would get one if I were still in the position to be spending my "fun money" on guitars all the time like I used to.
Not to veer that far off topic, played a J. Mascius Squier Jazzmaster the other day, I quite well dig it, has a feel akin to my home-built Jazzmaster (though my home built has lower action). There's a part of me who sees them as a viable mod platform in the future, maybe put black pickup covers on it, a AVRI JM Pickup in the neck, and a Black MOTO Pickguard, + Stock JM bridge.
