Does anyone know about the Vintage Modified guitars? I love the Squier Classic Vibe guitars, especially the Duo Sonic. It seems that with this line, Squier is attempting to occupy the same role for Fender that Epihpone serves for Gibson, whereas the name Squier was previously synonymous with "crap." I was excited to see that Squier is releasing modified Jaguars and Jazzmasters as part of their Vintage Modified line. I don't know anything about this line. I wonder if they will be of the same quality as the Classic Vibe guitars. Any thoughts?
When was Squier ever synonymous with 'crap'?
Anyway, the Vintage Modified series tend to me made in Indonesia, and are known for good, functioning guitars that often have ugly (sorry, I mean 'bold') colour schemes.
They will most likely be a step or two down from the much-lauded CV's (which I don't like very much, mostly due to the necks), but that does not by any stretch mean they will be bad.
