Hard case for Fender Jaguar ?

Hi guys,

Quick question.. I'm after a hardcase for my Fender Jaguar and I've come across the following eBay auction.

I found this ad on ebay and I've asked if it will fit a Jaguar, they said yes.. but other eBay sellers tell me it won't fit and a guitar shop also told me it might not fit

Can anyone give some insight if a standard tele/strat style case will fit.. I'm after

I can't find the dimensions to confirm it, but the way the case is set up I would think would allow for almost any fender to fit in it. It isn't shaped to a body; there is just a large cavity. I don't see why it wouldn't fit. Nice looking case.

i would be sceptical about this as jaguars and jazzmasters have longer hardcases than stratocasters.

i bought mine (rockcase not original fender) from thomann.de for about 80 euros.

I would e-mail this seller asking him for details.

Standard strat/tele cases will not work, I have tried many of them, and they have never worked.

Jazz bass cases will work though, or you can get the hard shell case that SKB makes specifically for the jaguar too!

Hmmm weird. My Jagstang must fit fine because it is a shorter neck? I thought the Jagstang body is very close to a Jaguar so it would work.

The seller said that the Jag will fit! So, I'm going to try to check it out.

If the seller says it will fit, at least you have good grounds for a refund if it doesn't. 😀

Fender cases are different sizes (length) for Strats and Jags.

If they both fit...something is wrong - in my opinion.

Maybe it is longer to fit the Jag. If it is too big a Strat would fit still wouldn't it? It would just be roomy for a Strat?

At least it will be smaller than the one for my Dean Z79. That thing is bigger than my bass case and weighs a TON.

Yes, my only concern is returning the things.. since it's a big piece of wood.

I've order it.. fingers crossed! I'll let you guys know.

oops ...sorry about that....they're not mine ....only a pic i found in a forum....just to compare strat and jazzy bodies ...

Yeah, jaguars, jazzmaster will not fit in strat nor tele cases. No way, no how!

I've seen a picture of a Jaguar in a Strat case! It was a big box one like that and it had to be in there at an angle. Don't know who made it, where it is or nuffink.

I've got a bass case in the attic, might try that one out. I've got a Jag In A Bag, doesn't do it any justice...
