Would this work as a replacement bridge for a Mustang?

I'm using modern tune-matic bridge.

Cut a quarter of the screw post and wrap a bit of tape. Just insert then you're good to go.

ABR screw post will require a lot of tape wrap to be able to fit snugly into the bridge holes.

I think tape wraps decrease sustain in which mustang is already notorious of.

I ended up buying the bridge, and I've left it with my tech to install in my Mustang. He said it will work nicely, but will requier a little drilling to properly fit. Thats the reason I didn't get the ABR was because of how much tape it would require to get it to fit snug.
