Neck Damage or Warping??????

Will leaving the strings off of my Mustang for a couple of days cause any problems with the neck? i.e. warping or twisting of the neck. I took off my old strings to put on new ones and now I have to go out of town for 2 days for work. Will it be OK to wait 'til I get back to put on the new strings???? Thanks

Shouldn't be a problem. When you buy necks they don't have strings on them and they are ok. 😀 I think that is a myth.

Everything I read said it should be fine. People have left guitars without strings for years and had no problem. The main thing that seems to screw up guitars is temperature issues. Going from hot to cold too much messes with the wood.
