Thanks. Am actually concerned about the feel of the guitar too. I would like to maintain that. I recently bought some "Fender Vintage Fret Wire", a smal bag with 24 pieces. And the dimensions these have are the following:
Dimensions: 9.0 x 11.0 x 1.0
Weight: 1.00
Those numbers didn´t came in the baggie, I had to look for em in the Fender url, but there seems to be only one type of "Fender Vintage Fret Wires", so most likely those are the specs. I placed them aside my Mustang and they look a little thin too me.
I would very much appreciate if you would give me the exact dimensions for this Mustangs Fret. The luthier told me that the Frets still have life in them and can be "reduced", sawed, sanded, I forgot the term in English. If these frets make a diference in the feeling of the original Mustang I very much doubt that I´ll have em installed. I Would appreciate too your comment on the issue of placing these frets on a Mustang with the dimension it has (22 fret Mustang 24 inch scale) . Thanks in Advance.
