Type of Toggle for Mustang

With the Mustang's body thickness do I need to use a right angle toggle or is a normal straight one ok? I don't want to have to put a hole through the entire body of my Mustang like a Les Paul. I looked at the difference and it looks like just a couple millimeters difference in depth.(20.64mm vs 23.81mm)

No need to punch a hole through the entire body.

Do it similar to Duo-Sonic or Cyclone. There's just a circular cavity/route behind the pickguard where the toggle switch should be.

A les Paul/SG type switch should also work fine as it doesn't need a deep cavity.

I was just worried because I saw one done in the Mustang picks thread with the hole through the back. I don't want that. 😀

Yeah coz that one had the toggle switch installed at the upper horn, if I'm not mistaken.

Also, the right angled toggle switch like the ones used for toronado will require a larger cavity.

It looks like it would need a rectangular routed spot pointing the bottom where the wires go towards the neck pickup slot?
