Pickup Covers/Quarter Pounders

It probably works the same way as the JMs with quarter pounders. The pickups have flat polepieces, so it fits in the cover, but the pole pieces don't stick out from them.

they buldge out the sides of solid mustang covers. but you cant tell because its all going on under the pickguard. I have no idea about jag covers. they should be the same though i would guess.

rob says, yes they will fit with a squeeze. and no the poles won't be able to come through the holes in the pickup cover, because they are flush with the top of the bobbins

sorry. i was ready to pull the trigger on ordering a mij sunburst

jag but now i'm having cold feet. cause to be honest, if i'm changing out the pickups and modding the bridge, i'm really only buying it cause it looks cool and not that many people have them. but is it going to be worth the headaches that may come with it???? decisions, decisions...

i would say if you are going to have a headache with a guitar and try to force it to do things it wasn't designed to do then don't do it.

from what you are talking about I would tryout a supersonic.

its got a stable strat trem.

2 humbuckers. more output. I never replaced the stock pickups, they sound great.

same tuners

plus they came off the same line as the MIJ jags of the day and used fender parts (the saddles are even stamped fender like on vintage ones)

try this out and see if you like it.

you could buy the jag, put in the 1/4 pounders and be completely happy with it like I am right now with my mustang.

supersonic has chrome colored plastic housing and tips.

jag has metal housing and tips

supersonic won't rust as fast 😀

it's actually nickel plated plastic housing and tips. jaguar ones are plain steel plated with nickel. so rust isn't a problem for either. i believe that the gears are of differing qualites too though
