Well, in that regard I wouldn't know, I've only ever had an amp that uses EL34s. My experience trying different EL34 brands though (insofar I've been through some original Mullards, JJs, Electro Harmonix, Mesa Boogie and Groove Tubes, with the Groove Tubes being my overall favourite) is that while one might have more power or high end clarity or tighter bass or whatever else than the rest, they all generally have the same overall feel and characteristics, so I might've assumed the same would be the case of 6L6s.
