Hello there! I recently purchased a '96 CIJ Jaguar, really cool guitar and stuff, but I'm experiencing this awfully loud buzz when not touching strings/metal parts while playing. I heard some people say that it's fine and jags are supposed to do so, but others say it's a grounding/shielding issue. Mine has copper plates all over the cavities and everything seems to be connected alright, there are no loose wires or anything, so my question is this buzz really normal or not? Do I have to cover all cavities with shielding paint/tape to eliminate it? Aren't those copper plates supposed to shield the guitar and make it quiet?
Thanks!
