Surf Green Jagstang Project

Just got this Warmoth Jagstang body. It is surf green with contours. I have a Made in Japan neck to go with it and stock pickguard as well. No screw holes, so I am a little nervous. I am going to pick up the other parts soon, but here is what I have so far.

Thanks! I think I will put a toggle on it and use a TOM and hard tail conversion. No switches on this. Just simple. I might even get a pickguard with just a humbucker and not even bother with a toggle. Not sure yet. 😀

Oh and for fun, here is Surf Green on top of a Daphne Blue guitar. Really makes the green stand out.

Hmmmm not sure yet. Maybe this for the neck and this, this, or this for the bridge. GFS' are cheap, but I have liked them so far with the two guitars I have put them in.

Took the black pickguard off my Fiesta Red Jagstang to put the stock one back on. I am going to use it on this. I also got a vintage 1960's Mustang trem for it.

I think putting guitars together is a lot of fun. I would do it all the time if I had the money. 😀

I picked up a 1966 plate that should match the tremolo nicely. 😀 Just need to find a bridge and get the last few parts.

Wife helped me pick a pickguard. We are going with white/black/white (no pearl for a more vintage look.) I am going to use a blending pot instead of a toggle so it will look sort of stock, but with no switches.

For pickups I am going with this combo.

Neck

Brighton Rock 6.5K Single Alnico Pickup

Bridge

Bigmouth Bridge Pickup

Parts are on the way. I could have this put together before the end of the week depending on shipping time.

I also tossed on a decal I have had for awhile. I think it looks pretty cool. If I end up not digging it, I will take it off or toss on something else. I think it will go well with a white guard.

Good news and bad news. Pickguard came today! It has two angled single coils instead of a single and a humbucker like I ordered. Since it is Friday, they won't even get my email until Monday morning. Boo. LOL
