Adding new pickups

I recently got a MINT condish, fiesta red jagstang. I dont find the stock pickups super bad, but I am thinking about upgrading to some better ones. I feel like if I do that though, it takes away from the Jagstangs...well...jagstang-ness. New pickups seem like it will totally change this guitars sound from the sound it was built to have. So Im still debating it

Here are the pickups I would like... Which would work best?

1) Neck... a) Fender Texas Special

😎 Vintage Jaguar pickup (Where would I find one?)

c) Leave it the original (Neck doesnt sound too bad)

2)Bridge.... a) Most likly a SD JB hum

Does anyone know if the Jaguar pickup sounds good in this guitar and sounds somewhat the same as the original neck pup?

if you want a jag pickup i wouldnt go vintage, since it would probly be pretty weak, and its basicly a strat pickup. if you do want a jag pickup, there are fender american vintage pickups, that sound great. there are also 1/4 pounders that sound good in basicly anything if you want a heavier sound. tex mex pickups are good. leaving it stock is also another thing, its a good pickup.

So the american vintage pickup sounds good and its not too weak?... what about the texas special?

i mean a vintage pickups isnt horribly weaker than an american vintage, but av jag pickups arent say humbucker hot, but they are nice jangly pickups. noone can go wrong with texas specials. didnt kurt have a texas special in the neck?
