I have a jazzmaster clone with shallow bridge saddles (its a roller) and want to change out for a tune-o-matic style bridge.
Thing is, i'm also looking to install a hotrail behind my bridge to pick up third-bridge effects from the back-strings (wikipedia link describing third-bridge http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3rd_Bridge)
my question is, will the tune-o-matic with deeper saddles interfere with transfering vibrations from the strings in front of the bridge to the strings behind.
Also, the reason i am switching out is that i prefer thinner-gage strings and my strings tend to slide off the saddles unless im playing with heavy strings.
