I though i wanted to buy a Squier Duo-Sonic, but realized after all of the mods i was gonna do, it was basically going to be a Cyclone.

Cyclones are pretty cool. Might work better for what you seem to be after.

The Fender Cyclones are getting somewhat difficult to find. Especially the Cyclone II model.

That Fender Cyclone seems like a good deal to me, and more what you're after. BTW, what rosewood neck would you be going with on the Squier Duo Sonic if you were to go that route?
