Hi there! I bought an SX Liquid off of Rondomusic.com as a project guitar (cost about 120 bucks). After about 50 bucks worth of parts, i ended up with this!
My mods were as follows:
Pistachio Green paint job
GFS liverpool retrotron bridge pickup, vintage wound
Routed out a tail pickup behind the bridge with a chisel and mallet (no router... lol)
put a GFS lipstick bridge pickup behind the bridge in said chiseled out section
new pickup is wired directly into the output, using an on-on switch. when on, the volume knob acts like more of a balance knob between the normal pickups and the tail pickup.
Replaced the stock roller bridge with a gold tune-o-matic from GFS, filed down the low E string saddle to prevent it from sliding out (which it did a lot.)
lots of doodling. ex gf put the tenticles and the swirlies on the pickup covers.
Sanded off the SX decal on the headstock to right the guitar's name JAVIER in sharpie.
