Kurt Cobain never actually played guitar on any of the recordings. It was actually Courtney Love, this has been well covered up of course since his death. She mainly used an Ibanez Artcore, the hollow body one's, but she used a piano strung with guitar strings on some songs, the only song I know she used the piano on was Leave It To Beaver.
