The toggle switch was supposed to be chrome but as mentioned the bearings on the one I bought were wrong.
That's the exact reason, I'm so used to playing les pauls now that I can't see myself reaching for another type (or location) of a toggle switch.
This is the first time I've gone with SD Rails, so it's a bit of an experience for me (I've had my fair share of Seymour D's before & every time I've been pleased).
So far I'm liking the rails, though the tone pot feels even more crucial with them; slightest variations are making big differences. So far it's giving me nice tones, got that early Pearl Jam tone I always look for in a guitar so I'm happy.
Solo's are holding their own now thanks to the new pups, as before with the stock pups, I was lucky to hold a single bend for long let-alone pull off a decent Dinosaur Jr style solo.
I must admit rail feedback is kinda odd, it's a 'softer' squeal, not as booming as the neck pup (which I gotta say is a bad-ass, I'd recommend it). As for the controlling of it, I'm afraid I haven't had them up that loud yet, the jag hasn't been in a reahersal room let-alone at a gig.
Oh, and those string savers are squirrel nutkin's nutsack; best Jag replacement I've bought.
