Thinking about buying a Jag-Stang...

I'm thinking about buying a Jag-Stang, I really like the guitar, but I can't find many lefties and I have a budget of about $600...

I play Progressive/ Indie rock and I just want a guitar that sounds good and plays good...

I really like the color and the body shape and from the looks of it, it seems like a fairly nice guitar...

I was also wondering if you could put a Seymour Duncan Invador in the bridge...

What do you guys think?

Should I get it or look elsewhere?

Invader in the bridge would work id sound more metal though. Jag-Stang kicks ass idk where to get a leftie though rare and a leftie designed them 🙄 .

yanno...everyone talks all kinds of trash about the jagstang, but if you'll take the time to set it up properly, and find a set of pups you prefer, you'll end up with a phenomenal geetar.

The aug is true again! Now you need to make some kinda qoute like Wax on wax off and you could have a movie deal! AUG IN.......JAG-STANG FORUM! Seriously the Jag-Stang rocks i want one bad but im not allowed to have another guitar under threats of violence! i say go for it buy a red one!

I also do play alot of alternative rock, I want a pickup that has lots of power and still sounds good when clean...

Do you guys recommend any humbuckers that would fit in with what I play?

I would use the Seymour Duncan JB, for distorted and clear clean. another you might look into is the SD Pearly Gates Humbucker.

By setting it up properly do u mean locking down the trem, moding the bridge (with electrical tape), 10+ strings, ect ect

I think he just means the standard playing setup watch Mad-Mikes thread about trems to see a Jag-stang properly set up!

you're better off buying a strat, or if you are willing to spend the money on a lefty js, just buy a cig jag. its alot better for the money, theres not even an arguement about it. and if you want buckers, jag-hh no jag tremelo, but if you need buckers that bad, you probly dont want an "unstable" as some may call it bridge and tremelo.

no. I need a PROPER setup...none of this half-assed crap...Personally, I'd place most of the focus on the nut.

Depends on your tastes,theres graphtech,brass,or Bone alot of people like Bone nuts as though are vintage I do know Yngwie Malm whatever uses brass.

So they help keep it in tune?....Would a standered strat Bone nut work on a js?

Im not sure about a Jag-Stang you might need to shave it down if its to long i doubt id be to short. You can always ask your local tech or some of the guys here are great with JS like Aug.
