You may have found your answer by now, Naveed, but here's my two cents...
Those '65 Mustang pickups for $30 are not the real deal. At least I doubt it. They tend to go for $100 or more a piece.
I suspect the ones you ran across are from a Reissue '65 Mustang. And that may be okay. Because Reissue pups are better technology with newer materials. These basic single coils today are so similar, probably the RI Mustangs are comparable to your CV Duo-Sonic pickups. (I just put my CV Duo-Sonic to sleep after playin all evening, and love mine too.)
Your amp, strings, cable, your attack, are so influential to your sound, any subtle difference between similar pickups in this quality-range is hardly noticeable to the human ear. It's likely RI Mustang pups are not gonna make that big a difference. 😳
Think about what tone you want but can't get. If you're clear about that, then start talkin with some really good luthier-techs and get their advice. Shoot, you can call Seymour Duncan or Lindy Fralin or TV Jones and get a consult.
Hope this helps.
