i playing one in a shop. it sounds more half way between a strat and a jaguar. you can certainly get a lot of sounds out of it.
however, it doesnt sound like the real deal. a lot of the jaguar's sound comes from its short scale, odd bridge design and 1meg pots, which give it low sustain, lots of treble and a percussive kind of sound.
