so with all the half assed Fender "tribute$" lately i figured i would have a go at it.

the goal here is.

so for starts i got the body today. made of poplar and very cool looking. as you can see i have the paints needed and the masking tape for the ever important stripe.

more to come on this.

You are correct. He flipped his trem bar so the strings would go straight through. The hole for the trem arm looks right for a lefty, because he flipped his righty. 😀

I saw this one in person at the EMP in Seattle.

so heres some progress, 3 coats of sander sealer and 2 coats of primer filler and 400/600 grit sand paper later we are left with this.

two or three more coats of sander sealer and its ready for the Lake Placid blue!

ok sander sealer is on and the hard part is done! tomorrow is finally the base coat!

got the first few coats of blue on today. i cant begin to tell you how lovely this color is. it reflects light so oddly.

nope, sure didnt spend 50 bucks worth of stuff.

you have to place the order and they call you to get your info. its weird.

dont worry, it wont be this green, i will be wet sanding the clear coat when it drys.

havent done the headstock yet because im still waiting on the neck itself but yes, the headstock will be painted.
