It's been a bit since my last update, but the bass is practially ready to paint. I have the contours done, and I just finished the through body holes and the battery box compartment in the back.

I should start painting soon.

Considering it's a sticky thread it's been a while since this was updated, come on man, you've got us all in suspense, how's it looking now?

Having said that, I need to put the pics of mine up, it's actually looking good now, not like the jig-sawed block it was before, looks like a guitar now!

Sorry for the lack of updates, college once again has slowed things down and made my schedule hell. Well, I've skipped about 50 steps 😛, so here is where I am at right now.

If you wanted to know how nitro olympic white from reranch looks like buffed by a buffing machine, and not by hand, here is your chance. It seriously looks like a mirror.

I have to fix one small chip on the front of the body.

All I have to do is the neck, and I'm done.

Awesome miror finish. I wish Reranch would ship to Australia, it would make my life easier. It's nearly impossible to get proper paint here in Australia.

I have a couple of issues with your bass. first is the control cavity. Perhaps you want more room for electronics etc, and that's fine, but it looks a bit shabby. I know it wont be seen, it's just a pet peave of mine.

The second is the quality of the contours. It needed more work done to it. It's too thick on the side.

Please dont take this as negative criticism. It think you've done a pro job.

You can never have enough room for electronics! Telling you, now I've got a router, as soon as I have some more time the electronics on my guitars are going to be properly enhanced! Already put a neck on/nothing/neck on with bass cut and a passive overdrive on my strat, but now I'm not limited by space I'm going nutts!

wow, i think i might swing by these parts more often, this is very interesting. there are a few things that i would have done differently but its the end product that matters and your end product is looking really great. ive never attempted to make a bass neck. what is the radius and do you have any tricks up your sleave for that one. ( i have fretboards!)

One of them, pretty much the best I could get for the money, it's very powerful, probably wouldn't cope with everyday industrial use, but I'm only a hobbyist, so it's fine for me. Cuts through the mahogany I'm using like butter.

I Thought I'd give ya'll my final update. Yeah, yeah it's been a long time. And yes, I've skipped a lot of steps in pictures, but the final is sure to please.

I'm also taking advantage of my new cam as well. I'm only going to post a few here, and the rest are going to be located on my gallery. I'm too lazy to imageshack over 30 pics.
