I saw a guy build one from scratch. I had never seen one before and I was like WTF? as he was explaining what he was doing and how it was going to end up. A few weeks later I went over there and he had it all painted up but it was like new and I still was a little turned off. Then I saw the finished version that looked just like that photo (I thought it was for a second but it's not, that one I think is a Fender Custom shop version). Man it instantly grew on me. I would love to have one.
