are the tailpieces from all jags and jazzmasters interchangeable? i have a 12 yr old jap jag and the string holes in the tailpiece don't line up with either the original bridge or a mustang bridge so both e strings slip towards the middle far too easily. will i need to get a similar era tailpiece and risk the same thing or will most/all tailpieces fit? i play the strings between the bridge and tailpiece quite alot so would like to avoid a buzzstop.
