The sound im looking for is a Killswitch Engage/A Day To Remember sound and I will be using pinch harmonics a fair bit, my Nailbomb can do this pretty well but just thought there may be a more suited replacement pickup out there to replace the stock one.
I don't know exactly what amp you are using and/or pedals, but based on the style of music you are looking to play, here are the pickups I can recommend from two different manufacturers.
DiMarzio D-Activator-X Bridge HB - $69.95 - This would be a great pickup for the sound you are looking for and my highest recommended for you. It is wound to 14.5k and can achieve great harmonics, with strong output, and it is 4-wire so you can split it or tap it and it can also produce good clean tones. (You could also just roll back the volume on your guitar and leave it un-split to achieve nice clean tones). When it is full-bore, this will be exactly what you are looking for. An excellent metal pickup with a nice balance in bass, mid, and treble. Another plus, is that this uses ceramic bar magnets, which would have better string pickup than the stock because the angled pickup slot will not matter with bar magnets.
Seymour Duncan Dimebucker SH-13 - $94.95 - Another great option would be the SD Dimebucker. It is just as great at achieving great metal tones and again, it also uses ceramic magnets, but this also has steel bars. It is wound a bit hotter than the DiMarzio D-Activator-X, coming in at about 16.25k. However, the Dimebucker is also 4-wire so it can be split as well and is just as capable of being clean by rolling back your guitar volume. Seymour Duncan is a great pickup company when it comes to the mass-produced market.
Either of these two pickups should be able to achieve the tone you are looking for. This is a pretty tough question as it is awfully subjective. What I think sounds great you may think sounds like ####. I would recommend looking through some good YouTube reviews. Mic'd amps and the such. Good luck man!
