amp and tone settings

I realize im setting myself up for a bit of a bashing here, but could anyone give me any advice on how tho get a good Hole tone (Ask for it or Live through this era)? At the moment im playing a jag-stang with very Nirvana amp settings but i really want that thin almost spacey Hole sound. Any advice would be appreciated!

Well hey why get bashed for what you like. I played a couple songs with my gf's Riot grrrl band and so I did some hole with my KDC Jag (blasphemy to some ) But I cant remember how I got there sound I think i used extra gain. But then again we where doing celebrity skin play around till u get it.

Yeah that get quite close for distorted sound, but u needs a #### load of bass to flesh it out (cos out of phase is too thin). i think is both pickups but just cant the right tone settings! 😠

Sounds like single coils on LTT, I think she used a Jazzmaster in that period.

oh cool thanks, i thought it was that venus thing she designed. does anyone know what pedals or anything?

Didn't she design the Venus in 1997 or something like that?

If you look at live videos and music videos from the Asking For It era, you can see that she's using a Jazzmaster and a Venus style guitar...

I've also seen pictures of her playing Rickenbackers live in 1994...
