Replacement Jag-Stang pickups

Hey! New to this forum...

I'm fixing up my Jag-Stang. It was my first guitar, bought brand new in 1997. It has a scratchy volume pot that no amount of contact cleaner can fix, so it needs replaced. While I'm at it, I think I'm going to replace the neck pickup as well.

I'm thinking of a noiseless pickup in the neck. Will a typical noiseless strat pickup fit, or is there something else I should look at? I don't want to make any changes to the pickguard, so it needs to fit without trimming.

it should fit just fine, its more a matter of the pickup cover and what not, since that pickup has staggered pole pieces

+1. A noiseless should fit with no modifications. If you link to what you had in mind, we can tell you for certain. Also, be sure to purchase a new pickup with staggered pole pieces. The Jag-Stang's 7.25" radius is a sharp curve and you will get better pickup balance on every string with staggered pole pieces.
