I'm going to build a guitar soon - based on the forgotten Fender Swinger model , using a few modifications that are on the Mustang , to make it sort of a hybrid of those two , a Swing-stang if you will.
I'd like to ask a few questions before building it since it's my first time :
1. can you flip a bridge and a tail peace and make it left handed ? I want to put a Les Paul style bridge and tail peace on it but I can't find a decently-priced left handed one , so can I just flip a right handed piece and it'll work as well as a left handed one ?
2. Does somebody have the Swinger blueprints ? I decided I'd make the body sketch off my mustang , I just want to know the right proportions.
3 . How do you make a comp stripe ? I've painted guitars before but never with a comp stripe ... do you just put masking tape on them ? can you use your basic ducktape or do you need some special tape to make it smoother ?
4 . I found a store on eBay that sells right-handed Mustang control covers pretty cheap (less then 10 bucks) , and I want to know if they'll fit a lefty or do I need a special lefty one ?
