no, there is no one way that is better than another, the only reason this is so, is its easier to ajust the screw went its facing the pup rather than the trem "cigar tube"
its just esier to get a screw driver in that way. thats all.
just to clarify, there is no tonal change, it will not make playing easier, and it won't help any tuning issues you may be having.
