it is indeed possible, and really it is not that hard, i would suggest doing a lil bit of re-search into wiring diagrams, and perhaps trying to understand the passive electric current used in guitars, familierize yourself with some of the constants. like pot values, cap values, etc. and read up on soldiering techniques as well.
in reality just about anything you can think of is possible in terms of wiring a guitar, but remember, generally the simpler, the better.
