I say "new" because it is used... and I used to have one of these and I traded it a year or so ago and missed it. (Not talking about the one I painted green. My original one got the bigsby treatment.)

I dig it. The stock pickups aren't terrible, but I already had a DiMarzio D-Activator bridge pickup and there is a D-Activator neck pickup incoming so it will get a change out. I think the black pickups will look cool on the black guard and body.

This is it stock as it came in the mail to me.

Did you take the high pass filter out when you added the new 3 way switch and custom plate? The new pick ups look realy good. Nice mod. How have the new pick ups effected your sound?

I've got a MIJ 30th Ann. HH special Jaguar like yourself. I went with adding an American Jag/Jazzmaster tremolo ( the Japanese soft tail was junk) traded out the chrom knobs for black witch hat knobs and chopped the joystick / wammy bar adding a black knob to mine. I've still got a little tweeking to go yet.

Yup. The high pass filter is out. 😀 The pickups are much louder, but not in a bad way or anything. Some of my pedals seem to like humbuckers over single coils. It is nice to have a variety of guitars to get different sounds. 😀

Sounds like a fun guitar you have. You should post pictures! I love seeing guitars.

I'm new to playing guitar and went throught a 89 Les Paul special and 2010 HSS Strat-o-blaster special before I found this 2012 HH MIJ 30th Ann. Jaguar special. My short fingers could only play a 24in. scale axe and I love my Jag. I'ed like to get an American Vintage 62 reissue Jaguar as a sweet second guitar with a different sound.

I seemed to notice a drop of gain when using the high pass filter. I use the neck pickup the most and I'll have to get more experience before I start screeming guitar passages with my bridge pickup.

If I ever figure out how to post picthers I'll post a few shots of my Hot Rod Jag. One thing I've noticed theres nothing like a Jaguar in the wide world of guitars .... nothing!

BTW: is "Hentai no baka" .... crazy for Hentai? My Japanese isen't that good but my Japanese guitar is.

your jag had a joystick? cool.

i could never get along with the stop bar tail piece of those jags. tho i did really like the couple that i played in l,a. a few years back.

im just so addicted to the trem unit i s'ppose. i like that added toggle, whats the dealio is the f? is it a decal? or a bit of plastic that just happened to have an "f" on it?
