yes, you may have read over my original post but it stated. "i would like to reiterate that the late 90's jaguars had the same necks at the jagstang. as stated before the contour of the neck is slightly different but not really enough to notice, i used a feeler gauge a few years ago and measured the difference between my 96 jagstang neck and a 96 jaguar neck. the difference was negligible at best."
Keep your eye on gumtree, and ebay and even the local papers, you will soon figure out after about 3 weeks to a month of watching ebay sales what a jag goes for in good, decent, and modded condition on ebay. the market changes constantly, im not in the u.k. so i don't know what a "good" price for one at the moment is.
just be patient and watch them for a while.
-as for your prior post about routing and the pickguard for jazzmaster pickups if you were to take everything off of the guitar body, except the pickguard and give that to your tech or luthier then he should not charge you more than 60.00 usd. if he does then he is a thief. the only reason to charge more for that is if he is making a brand new pickguard or had to spend 2 hours taking the whole guitar apart and then re-assembling.
