Hi. I have a Squier VM Jazzmaster, and I love the damn thing. The neck is hands down the best neck I've ever played, even compared to the more expensive models I've been able to get my hands on at stores. It's just, fabulous. But there are a few things I dislike about the Jazzmaster;
A) The fact that the chrome is so sparse. I love the surf rock look that the chrome on the Jag gives. And a mustang bridge.
😎 The pick-ups. They're great...On other models. Mine are ####ed up. I don't know what the problem is. But I want to replace the stock pick-ups with one of these for the bridge: http://www.amazon.com/Fender-Thinline-Deluxe-Bridge-Humbucker/dp/B0030CLJXC Kinda like the Jazzblaster pick ups Lee Ranaldo uses. And I would want to put a stock jaguar pick-up in the neck. http://www.lollarguitars.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=jaguar-pickups
C) The paint job. I like the sonic blue, but a graffiti yellow, or a 3 tone sunburst would be nice.
D) The electronics. I wanna but a 1000k pot inside, re-do the wiring so that it has the 3 button configuration that the Jag has, and resoldering all the wires.
Do you guys know how much this would all cost, and how difficult it would be?
I know the pick-ups alone would cost $170.00 dollars..how much would the wiring and chrome, etc cost?
