SANLOT17 Been fighting this for a while. Like to lock the bridge and trem. Can someone tell me how to? Also was told to buy a new reissued mustang bridge to put in it. Said it would fix the problem? Any help would be great. Love this guitar but hate the fretting out!
robertoriginal take it to a tech, you may need your frets leveled. or just have the bridge raised.where are they fretting out at? and are they fretting out when just being depressed? or are they choking out when you bend?
TravisB91 Mine did this too I put a tune o matic in it and the problem still consisted so i took it to a tech and he shimed the neck without permission... It fixed the problem but changed the guitars sound. It still sounds good just different
SANLOT17 I did take it to a tech and told me the design of the bridge on these wasnt very good. It didn't go with the contour of the neck. He has tried to fix it twice. It did for a while. Then it got worse! The high E frets out obove the 7th fret now! Was just on bends. The frets on it are in great shape?
robertoriginal the bridge is a perfect match for the radius of the neck. if it frets out passed the seventh fret then you either need to ajust the truss rod and the bridge height, or you need a fret level.
SANLOT17 Simple fix. The post screw kept vibrating and lowered the high E. Fixed and plays like butter again!!

Love this guitar but hate the fretting out! well the original bridge supplied for the Jag-Stang is a mustang bridgeyou can always try the Modified Mustang Bridge by Warmoth, or get the Mastery Bridge and just call it a day 😀
