hey

sorry to have another thread about switches but i'm really interested about this..

well, here it is.. i watch to change one of the switches..

it's the ones that select the bridge and neck pickup in the lead circuit..

i want to replace them with a switch (lespaul style, only chrome)

now, would it be possible to do it like..

"bridge-neck-both" to work with the one switch?

i'd leave the bass-cut jaguar switch, but i just want to replace those first two.

would i need a "on-on-on" selector switch for it?

well i don't know much about it so any advice would be awesome 😀

I believe that a 3-way switch can be wired to be (on-on-on) if you like. It just depends on how you wire it. But what you are asking for is no short order. You are talking about a whole lot of rewiring and I have no doubt you'll have questions...if you pursue this, have the digital camara ready and take clean pics...we'll do our best to help ya...

oh, i'd probably be paying someone else to do it but i'll keep you guys

i just want to know which switch i should purchase from guitarpartsresource 😀

there's a on/on/on, on/on and a on/off/on..

to get the configuration i want, which one would i need to look at..? 😕

maybe I'm not fully understanding you...are you trying to rewire the jaguar to be more like the jazzmaster?

yeah basically...

like just replace the top two switches (neck+bridge pickup of the lead-circuit)

with a jazzmaster/gibson style one.. which acts like "neck/bridge/both" or anything resembling that kind've setup..

Yes you can do it, circuit wise it's very simple. You should use an on-on-on type switch (assuming on-off-on has no tags for the centre position).

On that note I think I may have just screwed up my Knobs for the lead-circuit lol..

I pulled the volume knob really hard I suppose and now it wont get back to how it was before.. #### how I wish I wasn't such a greener ☹

Might get Dunxy to look at it or something lol.. he'll probably laugh at me.. think I might've screwed up one of the solders.. pulled it outta place or something *sigh* as none of the pickups seem to be working on the lead-circuit.. lol *sighs some more*
