Noob looking to mod my pick guard and pick ups help

Hey guys!

First timer here so please go easy on me 😀

So I bought a 96 50 year anniversary JagStang from Guitar Center West LA. I was so lucky because I got it + the hardshell (Fender) for 545$ came with a tremolo and everything cosmetically I'd say was excellent shape. Probably a collectors guitar.

Before buying it I knew already I wanted the red "tortoise" pick guard and a P90 bridge pick up. Overall I'd like the pickups to have a metal/silver soap bar finish (ehh the cream p90 soap bar would be fine too) But I'd like to also match the neck pick up to the bridge pick up. So either they'll both be cream or both be metal.

I play a lot of clean, reverb-y guitar so hum buckers are necessary on my need lists.

What would you recommend? And where can I buy these parts?

As far as the pickguard in concerned, go to WD MUsic Products.

They make many different options that fit the jagstang like a glove!

As far as pickups are concerned, I have a Duncan SSL-1 in the neck, and Duncan TB-4 Trembucker in the bridge.

Pickups will only get you halfway there. You must change out the crappy Japanese pots and wiring they use.

As soon as you change out pickups, and do a complete re-wire with quality parts like CTS & Switchcraft, THEN YOU WILL TRULY NOTICE THE DIFFERENCE!
