IMO the mustang's feel is its main charm. The sound is alright, but where the mustang defeats all is the lightweight, thin neck, and short scale.
But I think why they didn't take teh path of Euphoria's super-stang is cause a great deal of people don't like the small fret board or the short scale. I mean small handed people(me) can cope with a bigger guitar, but if you too big, it just don't work.
