westtexasred I have never played a Jaguar and I was wondering if the the necks on the american and japanese jags had the same profile and do they have the same profile width and fretboard radius as my 73 Mustang? Also how would the weight compare with my 95 MIA Strat?
Rick yeah, pretty much the same profiling. and certainly the same fretboard radius and nut width.what wood is your strat made out of? if it's alder, then it'll probably be about the same weight as a jag
westtexasred Thanks for the posts guys.My strat is a 95 American Standard so I think it is made of alder.
BanditGuitarist1 that pencil drawning of the little girl is a little creepy. Also the pups backwards so is my JB Jr. Any reason why they do this?
BanditGuitarist1 I see that....Ive also seen ur " Honky " guitar on ebay befor and Nice VOX I used to have that sold it and got a crate palamino.
echelon ooh that a Vox Valvetronix? if so how you finding it??i played one in the shop and man the cleans were beautoiful - not so sure bout the distortions though. plus i heard it cant handle pedals very well?
BanditGuitarist1 I didnt use my pedals cause there all hooked up to my Superlead it was good nice cleans the UK 80's was the best distortion the others sounded like static to me. I sold it and the Palamino by Crate is far better no digital effects but a beautiful clean and nice smooth crunchy Overdrive so I would reccomend the Crate Palamino over the Valvetronix.
JohnRobertRumsey jag necks are shorter than strats. I dont like playing strats I perfer Jags and I would get a Tele before I ever got a strat. And the mustang neck feels and is smaller than a jags.

JohnRobertRumsey guitar center is ballsack...I remember asking if they could order me a jag when I was looking for one and the head sales guy said " A Jaguar eh I never heard of one are you sure fender has a jaguar?". At that moment I shot him in the face, put his body in my trunk, and then took him home and fed him to my wood chipper as I laughed and laughed and lost faith in all possibility that a god exists in the hearts of soulless guitar center.

Rick John Robert Rumsey said: the mustang neck feels and is smaller than a jags.no, it's exactly the same. unless you're talking about a 22.5" mustang neck?
paul_ the profile and shape on jag necks is certainly different in such a way that it feels bigger than the 'stang neck.
