jagstangowner maple necks = better for soloing such as jazz or bluesRoseword necks= rock and chord progressions
BanditGuitarist1 If you have skills the neck wood doesnt matter hasnt any seen Hendrix play his Rosewood strats sounded just as good as Woodstocks capped maple strat.....what about PAO FERRO! THATS ON MY SRV ITS BETTER THEN THE BOTH OF THEM!
jagstangowner i didnt mean its easier to play better...its just usually what you see in that ganre of music. If i was a jazz or blues guitarist, mostlikely i would get a maple neck
BanditGuitarist1 ah mybe but many guitars aimed for Jazz have rosewood, such as the Gibson ES I belive and the Sheraton and other Semi-Hollow Jazz Boxs. Im not sure all sorts of players play all types of fretboard woods.
BanditGuitarist1 yeah sure is different then Rosewood,My favorite feeling neck is my srv strat the Pao Ferro has a maple meets rosewood feel that is just fantastic!
