Have a 1997 CIJ Jag that's feedback crazy. The thing has been a bit of an ornament for nearly twenty years. Most beautiful, yet difficult guitar I own. I love how it looks so much that I've never had the heart to part with it.
Truth is, I want to get it right so that it's the only guitar I play. But I need distortion for indie and shoegaze.
Bought an S-Jag 3 bridge. I'm going to keep the CIJ neck PU for now.
Do I have to wire it up back to front to make it work with the CIJ neck PU? There seems to be some advice about this on the SD instructions, but it's very unclear.

Also have copper tape for some shielding. Advice on the best place to put this please?!?!?
I'm a newbie with a lot of questions. I want to make the guitar happier with distortion. It squeals at the slightest hint.
