Hi all - first time poster!
I am about to undertake my first guitar build project and cannot look past a Mustang as they are by far my favourite guitar shape in both look and feel. I live in the UK and it is surprisingly difficult to source either a cheap/secondhand Mustang to start with or get a body cut. I have opted (based on recommendations from a guitar tech) to start with this...

I have seen a few reviews of this as a guitar and it gets pretty good ones for the price but effectively I will be replacing everything other than the body.
I am pretty set with my plans re the body stripping/colour, the neck and the pickups but I have had a lot to research re trem and bridge.
This thing, as you can see, comes with the Jazz/Jag trem style as standard. None of my current guitars have a trem and I would be keen to keep it on this. My question is whether to keep the Jazz/Jag trem (whilst probably upgrading the part to the Mastery version) or look to get the Mustang trem installed.
If the latter, I will need to get the holes cut which I think I could get done via my tech friend and fill the current holes in (I will be reprinting etc so covering those shouldn't be too much of an issue).
The guitar is not yet delivered so from reading other threads I know I need to be careful re the depth of the wood etc but any advice/experience from similar projects would be welcome.
