So apparently, a photo on Instagram from someone at Fender hints at a possible reissue of the Jag-Stang, just though everybody would like to get a look at this thing. Interesting color, looks like they are using a slug/screw arrangement on the bridge pickup (maybe an actual Seymour Duncan JB or similar this time - rather than a piss poor attempt at something else). I hope it's true and they are bringing this one out.

The color is nice. When we post photos of jag-stangs refinished in white they get some of the most interaction.

If we could see the back and it had a nice contour cut into it I would be thrilled.

I'm not sure why they would re-release it. But fender does odd things. Like those Duosonics and Mustangs at the last NAMM. And not making the Jarman Squier more widely available. (unless I'm mistaken about that)

I'm hoping if this thing does come out that they would offer more color options, I'd be totally down for a Sunburst, Olympic White, or on the more obscure spectrum - Competition Blue Jag-Stang as a backup.

Looks like they did make some subtle changes to the body line on the newer one. I also found out what is up with it - It apparently is one of the guitars Fender keeps in their new Hollywood Office - the picture was taken at the grand opening of that location this past weekend - kind of crazy considering it also coincides with the 25th Anniversary of Nevermind almost.

I wonder what they put in there for pickups.......maybe something more aggressive in the bridge like a J.B.

You're right. The pickguard certainly fits better especially in that lower horn area.

Strings still don't line up with the poles in the humbucker though.

Looks good though, I like that light colour. I think KC always thought Daphne Blue was Sonic Blue and just asked for the wrong colour.

I think it's pretty obvious that the white guitar on the wall of Fender's Hollywood Office is indeed a Jag-Stang!

Hopefully it becomes available to buy soon!

That thing changes color in every photo I see, first looks kind of greenish, then bluish, then in that last one it looks almost like vintage white with a mild spring green tint. My god, it's the Blue/Green version of the original run Jag-Stang Fiesta Red, LOL.

I'm almost wondering if Fender is testing out a new color on that one because I've never seen that color on any Fender or guitar in general before or since.

I get the same feeling. There is some hint of blue or green or both in those photos.

Anymore word on whether they are going to reissue? I saw a thread on offset or shortscale talking about this.

No words on the guitar at all. I'm wondering if it's something they are working out for a much later release (2018) or something they toyed with.

One of the photos shows a guy flexing the neck against a table, that seems a tad odd. Of course some flex should be expected, especially on something like a Jag-Stang with has an a-width nut.

I'm a bit disappointed, been hoping they would come out with a remake so I had a quick-route to make some backups/stand-ins for my main of over 17 years. A Squier VM version would be PERFECT for that, especially in that color because I could use transparent aresols over the factory finish to create some unique new blue/green variants.
